Operational Status for Emirates, Etihad & Qatar Airways (As of March 7-8, 2026)

  • Emirates: Resuming limited flights to 82 destinations. The airline aims for a return to 100% capacity in the “coming days”.
  • Etihad: Resumed a limited schedule from Abu Dhabi to over 70 destinations, including London, New York, and Bangkok, with plans for more in the coming days.
  • Qatar Airways: Operations remain temporarily suspended due to airspace restrictions. They are operating a limited number of relief flights from Muscat and Riyadh.

Strategic Advice for Travelers

1. Heading to the USA?

Avoid the massive backlogs at European hubs. The Kenya Airways direct flight to JFK is currently the most stable route out of Nairobi. We are also seeing high success with Lufthansa bookings via Frankfurt for East Coast destinations.

2. Heading to India or China?

Since the Gulf “shortcut” is gone, Ethiopian Airlines is the only carrier currently maintaining a reliable schedule to Mumbai, Delhi, and Guangzhou via the Southern corridor.

Warning: These seats are selling out 72 hours in advance.

3. Stuck with a Canceled Emirates/Qatar Ticket?

Don’t wait at JKIA. Most Gulf carriers are not rebooking onto other airlines yet. Our desk can help you issue a “Rescue Ticket” via other airlines including KLM or Ethiopian Airlines instantly using M-Pesa so you can continue your journey while you wait for your original refund.

Why Book via Our Emergency Desk Today?

  • Real-Time Inventory: We see seat availability that the public websites (often lagging during crises) don’t show.
  • M-Pesa Priority: No “Credit Card Declined” errors. We confirm your ticket the second your payment hits.
  • Expert Rerouting: We know exactly which flight paths are currently “No-Fly Zones” and will only book you on safe, vetted corridors.
